Earlier this year, my whole family went on holiday together and took a cruise around New Zealand! It was my first cruise experience, and we had a whole lot of fun. I used an entire 9×12 album to document our trip, and today I’m sharing part 1 of that album!
I did a lot of travel journalling during the trip in a Moleskine cahier, which I included with the album at the title page. Since a lot of my thoughts and impressions were recorded in this notebook, I decided not to add much journalling to the album itself, and just focus on the photos and ephemera from the trip.
In this post, I’ll share photos of the spreads documenting days 1-5 of our trip – Auckland, Tauranga and our first full day at sea!
To make design choices a little easier, I went through my stash of stamps and embellishments and pulled out everything travel- or holiday-related to create a mini-kit. Whilst I didn’t restrict myself to this kit when putting together my spreads, it was really helpful when I was stuck on what to include on a page!
That’s it for part 1 of my travel album! Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 in the next couple of weeks!
