Scrapbook layout – Hello, you’re just as cute as a button

Last weekend was (inter)National Scrapbooking Day, and to celebrate, I made this traditional layout inspired by these three crop challenges on the Studio Calico blog!

I mixed things up with the title by incorporating a die-cut, my favourite gold Thickers, and a 3×4 card from a past Studio Calico kit.

This was a great project for using up bits and pieces from my craft and scrapbooking stash – buttons and gold thread from my sewing box, a bit of leftover patterned wrapping paper, a random doily that I had lying around… the ‘Layers’ challenged really pushed me to find all kinds of bits and pieces to use on my layout!

I’m so glad I participated in the crop challenges this year – it was so much fun!

Supplies used:

  • Kraft paper, 3×4 card and wood veneer confetti from past Studio Calico kits
  • Patterned vellum, patterned paper, buttons, gold thread, and lace tape from my stash
  • ‘Hello’ die cut from 1canoe2’s ‘Hazelwood’ range, purchased from Studio Calico
  • Dear Lizzy gold foam thickers purchased from Spotlight
