Sharing my July Project Life pages today! Just like my June pages, the colours in my title page for July came together really well. The coloured journal card and its embellishments are from past Studio Calico kits, and I made the centre journal card out of plain white cardstock, washi tape from a past Studio Calico kit, and my favourite Studio Calico stamp set.
Something I played around with this month was keeping this spread fairly cohesive, with a similar colour palette in the journal cards. Most of the cards on this spread are from the Becky Higgins 5th and Frolic core kit.
The pocket in the bottom right-hand corner is actually a 4×6 pocket, but I decided to fill it with two 3×4 cards instead. The cards are glued onto the 4×6 card on the following page, so they won’t move around inside the pocket.
This spread was 90% about the delicious food I consumed during July, which was a lot of fun to put together!
I had a hard time figuring out which journalling cards to use with the pictures on this page, because it was hard to pull out a cohesive colour palette! I’m pretty happy with what I came up with. Again, I kept embellishments pretty simple – just some washi tape, stickers, and a bit of stamping from my favourite stamp set.
I kept things cohesive on this page by using repeating elements on the journalling cards, to tie them together despite the different colours and patterns. I really love the way this page looks, and I will definitely be using this technique in the future!
I had a somewhat stressful month at work in July, so this page is about the ‘glass half full’ moments – the view from my office, lunch dates with friends, and events featuring free food. The ‘half full’ journalling card is from a past Studio Calico kit, and the patterned journalling cards are cut up from Maggie Holmes’ Open Book 12×12 paper pad.
And that’s it for July! Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! 🙂
